Hannah Wu

Hannah Wu started learning piano at the age of 4. She received a piano grade 10 certificate at the age of 9. Hannah studied with Professor Jun Xu, the chair of piano department of Nanjing University of the Arts. She completed her high school degree in piano performance at the attached middle school of Nanjing University of the Arts. At age 17, Hannah placed first in the piano performance examination and was accepted to Nanjing University of the Arts. However, seeking more diverse musical experiences, Hannah chose to study musicology at Shanghai Conservatory of Music instead. She studied with the chair of the piano department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Jiang Chen.

During the time in which Hannah attended Shanghai Conservatory of Music, she started her piano teaching career at a Shanghai private art school. Following her studies at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Hannah went abroad to pursue her master’s degree. She came to the United States to attend California State University, Los Angeles and received her master’s degree in Theatre. Hannah participated in school musical productions as a performer and pianist.

Hannah is a very bright and positive person who loves the process of helping kids learn music and improve themselves. She believes learning music is a continuous journey. The process of learning music and understanding it helps people to explore themselves and better themselves.
