Henry Guan is a Los Angeles based cellist with experience teaching cello and piano to students of all ages and backgrounds. He was a pianist before he was a cellist. As a prize winner of international competitions he has performed in venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Dolby Theater, The Colburn School, and Severance Music Center. His past performance highlights have included being the principal cellist of the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra under the direction of Leonard Slatkin, JoAnn Falletta, and Anthony Parnther. He is also an avid chamber musician. Henry earned his Bachelor’s of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Melissa Kraut. He is a trained Suzuki teacher.
