Growing up in central California, Matthew has had a passion for music ever since his elementary years playing in bands and taking lessons with local musicians.
After receiving his bachelor’s from the University of Southern California and then his masters from the New England Conservatory in Boston, Matthew has devoted his life to bringing his love of music to his students. Matthew plays and teaches a number of instruments such as Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Trumpet, and Trombone. As a Trumpet player, Matthew has performed concerts throughout the Los Angeles and Boston area. In 2012, he was awarded a full-ride scholarship to the Round Top Summer Orchestra Festival where he had the opportunity to study with top orchestra musicians from around the United States.
